Which workout program is right for you?
Which workout program is right for you? They’re getting more and more difficult it seems.
We’ve all seen the infomercials for P90X, Insanity, and Insanity: the Asylum. Those are some pretty wild workout programs. Obviously, each program focuses on different aspects of health and fitness as well. So which one should you choose? Which one is going to be right for you and your goals?
Back up a second. Who says any one of those programs is right for you? Maybe they really ARE too difficult. Or maybe they aren’t too difficult (I started P90X when I weighed 340 lbs). The parent company of all these workout programs – Beachbody – has implemented a modifier for most moves in each workout.
If something is a little too difficult, try to do the modification. This could be stepping into a 180 when everyone on the video is jumping and turning around 180 degrees. It might mean that when the people on the video are jumping forward and doing a squat when they land, you simply step forward and squat. The videos will show you the modification for each move.
Here’s another few points they make on the videos – do your best, take a break when you need it, keep yourself hydrated. Are you an elite athlete? Chances are the answer to that is “no” if you’re reading this article. If the answer is yes, by all means, please click that “contact” link up near the top right and send me a message – I’d love to talk to you!
There are also almost 30 other workout programs that Beachbody has available out on the market ranging from dancing your way to new abs, to elite athlete training. There’s a broad range of workout programs from Beachbody. Some of the newer ones even use resistance and weight training. There’s also a Tai Chi based program for focusing on balance and core. This program is also great for elderly folks!
There are MANY programs available for you. The first question we need to ask is, “What are your personal goals?” Do me a favor! Leave a comment, or send me a message. Just do one of them and tell me what your goals are. I don’t care if it’s nutrition, lack of motivation, needing accountability, losing weight, toning up, improving cardio, or something else. Tell me what it is and I will personally work with you to find the program that will work best for you to reach your goals. I’ll also work with you to help keep you on track to reaching your goals.
What have you got to lose?
